Problem:
Marla needed a redesign of her site. Marla works with parents and children using flower essences, puppetry, mediation and song. She had changed the focus of her business, needed a responsive site, and needed a redesign to draw clients into her content.
Solution:
Using the Genesis Framework, I created a custom theme for Marla using the theme Executive-Pro as the base. I chose the colors indigo blue and orange from a list of colors Marla had said were her favorites. I felt because these two colors are complementary, they create a balanced resonance to the site. I created home page boxes leading to three featured pages on the top and then three featured posts on the bottom. These boxes are set up so it is easy for Marla to designate a page or post to appear on the home page.
