Gypsy Cafe

Challenge:

The owner of the Gypsy Cafe wanted an update to her WordPress website.

Her challenges were:

• Her old site was built by a relative
• She had a hard time changing the menu
• The site was not responsive
• The design of the site needed to be updated

Solution:

A new responsive theme was created using the Genesis Framework. The new theme was creating using photography by Rob Scheid, colors from the restaurant and typography that highlighted the typography in the logo. New menu pages were created which will be easy to update. The food and ambiance of the restaurant was highlighted in a photo grid in a section of the home page. The home page has places for upcoming events and menu specials to be listed. A signup for the restaurant mailing list was placed on the site. There are a couple of new sections planned for the site, a gallery for artists showing their work at the restaurant and a shopping cart for cookbooks, tee-shirts and other Gypsy Cafe goods.
